How the grader works
What does this cold email grader check?
Nine signals that correlate with deliverability and replies: spam trigger words, subject line length, body word count, whether you ask a question, link count, unfilled personalization tokens, ALL-CAPS words, exclamation marks, and average sentence length. Everything runs in your browser — your email never leaves the page.
What is a good cold email score?
Anything 80+ (a B or better) is solid. A perfect 100 isn't the goal — a natural, specific email with one flagged word will outperform a sterile one. Treat fails as must-fix and warns as judgment calls.
Why do spam trigger words matter?
Spam filters score emails on many signals, and salesy phrases like “act now”, “risk-free” or “limited time” are among the oldest. One occurrence rarely sinks you, but each additional trigger word stacks the odds against reaching the inbox.
How long should a cold email be?
Between 50 and 125 words is the range most outbound studies land on. Shorter and you haven't established relevance; longer and you've lost a skimming reader. One idea, one question, one clear ask.
